Intend to strengthen my confidence.

Target/Goal  - strengthen confidence

Action Points

1)   I will practice my confidence by presenting power points and other pieces of work in front of my class.
2)    Putting my hand up in class to answer more questions.
One month
 22/3/13 – since making it my target to strengthen my confidence I have worked on it by presenting power points in front of the class. I also answered more questions in class.
2)   I am a Good Team Worker I need to be because I play football and Gaelic
Intend to strengthen my team working skills.

Target/Goal - Be a better team worker.



Action Points

1)   When in class when there’s group work I have to do work also don’t let the rest of the group do most of it.
2)   When playing football or gaelic pass the ball more and don’t shout or criticize people on the team.
Two weeks
4/5/13 - There hasn’t been group work in class since making it my goal to strengthen my team working skills but I’ve been playing football and  gaelic and since making it my target my football team won our league.
3)   I am good at IT skills, I use computers every day.
I intend to strengthen my IT skills.

Target/Goal – To improve on my ICT skills.

Action Points

1)   Practice my computer skills by using more of the software and the programs on the computer.
2)   Do my research on computer by using the internet to research on them or go to the library and read books on them.
One week
15/2/13 – I have used different software on the computer to improve my IT skills and they have worked. I also researched how to use different software like photoshop and I have but that research to use and I can see an improvement.
Weaknesses

1.   I am very bad Planning Skills. I know this because I forget important details that I need
I intend to improve my planning skills.

Target /goal – get better at my planning skills.

Action points

1)   Use the calendar app on my mobile phone and set events on to it so a reminder will come up on the date.
2)   Use a pen and pad used only for the date and the event of the date so I will be reminded.

2.   Easily Distracted. I get easily distracted by talking to the person next to me or by using my phone.
I intend to improve on not being distracted easily.

Target/Goal – Not get distracted easily.

Action Points

1)   Before I get into class or when I get into class turn off my phone so I don’t be tempted to text or listen to music in class.
2)   Before I come to tech leave my phone in the house so I’m not distracted.

I intend to improve my creativity skills.

Target/Goal – get better at my creativity skills.

Action Points

1)   Practice my drawings on paper so ill be better at drawing pictures for my creativity skills.
2)   Read books in the library on creativity skills to get better and have more ideas.

·         Doing activities and challenging exercises and learning by doing them.
·         They’d rather to work in groups than individually.
·         They would to hold and handle the things they are working with.

Reflective

·         Learners like reflective learners would rather sit and figure out the problem than get help with it.
·         Reflective learners think things through when they are stuck rather than sitting doing nothing.
·         Would rather working alone rather than working in pairs and groups.

Sensing

·         Sensing learners learning style is based around touch and movement.
·         They prefer concrete, practical and procedural information.
·         They look at all the facts of the information.

Intuitive

·         They look for meaning and prefer conceptual information.
·         They like theoretical information.

Visual

·         Visual learners are learners that learn at there best by visualizing something.
·         They learn form graphs, diagrams, and charts.
·         They also like looking at pictures.

Verbal

·         Verbal learners learn their best by listening to people.
·         They look for explanations with words.



Sequential

·         Sequential learners are learners that would rather have the information given to them.
·         They put together details in order to picture the information.

Global

·         People with the global learning style take in information large amounts at a time.
·         They can solve problems very quickly
·         But they will have problems explaining their knowledge.



My learning style

My learning style is aural. Aural is when you learn better by listening to instructions and following them.

                       

How my learning style helps me learn more effectively

My learning style is auditory. That means I learn better by listening. I learn more effectively when the teacher is telling instructions and showing us how to do the work and tasks we need to complete.
